Ryder Cup 2010

The rain plagued Ryder Cup golf matches in Wales not only were a problem to those of the ground in the UK, but to those wanting to watch the action on television here in The States.
It was bad enough that coverage stated at 2:30 am here on the East Coast, but with the rain all the scheduled coverage got thrown into flux.
NBC and ESPN spent a lot of money and time for this Ryder Cup coverage, but the crucial Monday singles matches were shown on USA. When NBC had the coverage they did a good job. Many now wonder how this train-wreck of a Ryder Cup will influence future televsion bidding of the event.

NBC’s USA Network provides complete coverage of the Ryder Cup tournament from 2 am until its conclusion.
The 38th edition of the famous golf tournament was held this year at the Celtic Manor Twenty Ten course, which is usually a heaven for golfers.
However this year the heavy rain that lasted over seven hours proved too much and the games had to be put on hold.
The Americans are hoping for a great game on Monday, that will allow them to win the cup, but the situation doesn’t look to great.

The TV schedule for the Ryder Cup began at 4 am EST on the USA Network. The Television station showed the end of the event, where the Europeans defeated the United States in the tournament 14.5 to 13.5. If you were hoping to wake up this morning to catch the end of the tournament, you missed a great ending.
The U.S. made a major comeback in the final day, but the European team fought them off to win the 38th Ryder Cup. This was the first time in Ryder Cup history that the tournament was decided on a Monday. It was scheduled to end on Sunday, but heavy downpours delayed the finish.
The 2012 Ryder Cup will be back in the United States at Medinah Country Club in Illinois, where the U.S. will look to regain the trophy.
