Chris Tucker faces foreclosure on mansion

‘Rush Hour’ star Chris Tucker is facing foreclosure on his 6 million dollars Central Florida home.
The Orlando Sentinel reports that the actor/comedian owes more than 4.4 million dollars to the bank, citing papers filed in Circuit Court in Lake County.
Tucker (39) purchased the 10,000-square-foot home waterfront home, on Lake Apopka in Montverde’s pricey Bella Collina community, in 2007. It has five bedrooms, three fireplaces, a personal spa, an outdoor kitchen overlooking a pool and a basement designed like a pirate ship with a wooden deck, mast and sail, according to the paper.
Court documents reportedly show that the IRS imposed an 11.5 million dollars tax lien on the home last year, in an effort to collect federal income taxes from Tucker. The Sentinel reports that documents show the actor’s monthly mortgage payment was 25,812.50 dollars.

Court records show comedian Chris Tucker is facing foreclosure on his multimillion-dollar mansion in central Florida.
Records show SunTrust Bank filed papers against the California resident with Lake County courts earlier this week.
According to documents, Tucker bought the 10,000-square-foot lakefront home for 6 million dollars in 2007 – before the housing market crashed. The bank claims he still owes more than 4.4 million dollars, but the county property appraiser has the home currently assessed at 1.6 million dollars.
The Orlando Sentinel reports that the house is located in the Bella Collina development, a 1,900-acre community overlooking lakes and a championship golf course.
Calls placed by The Associated Press to Tucker’s Hollywood representatives seeking comment were not returned as of late Thursday night.
Tucker is best known for staring alongside Jackie Chan in three ‘Rush Hour’ films. Other credits include ‘Friday,’ ‘Money Talks’ and ‘The Fifth Element.’

Actor and comedian Chris Tucker is facing foreclosure of his multi-million dollar Florida mansion, according to court papers filed earlier this week.
The star of the ‘Rush Hour’ trilogy and the comedy favorite ‘Friday’ purchased the 10,000-square-foot lakefront home in 2007 for 6 million dollars. The hefty home purchase was made just before the housing market took a nosedive later that year.
SunTrust Bank reportedly filed papers against the actor in Circuit Court in Florida’s Lake County. The bank says that Tucker owes over 4.4 million dollars. However the county property appraiser has the home currently assessed at 1.6 million dollars – according to the AP.
According to the Orlando Sentinel newspaper Tucker’s estate is located in the Bella Collina development, a nearly 2000 acre community with waterfront homes and estates that overlook a massive golf course.
Tucker’s home reportedly features five bedrooms, three fireplaces, and a personal spa. An outdoor kitchen overlooks a swimming pool, and the basement is fit to resemble a pirate ship, according to the Sentinel.
Though his last film, 2007′s ‘Rush Hour 3′ was a sizable hit, taking in over 140 million dollars at the domestic box office, he hasn’t been featured in a film since. Earlier this year Tucker returned to stand up comedy, touring theaters across the U.S.
