Michael Lohan arrested again

Actress Lindsay Lohan’s father jumped from a third-floor balcony Thursday to try to escape re-arrest, police said, but officers soon caught up with him and took him into custody – again.
Officers detained Michael Lohan after his girlfriend, Kate Major, said he violated terms of his release from jail earlier this week by calling her, the Tampa Police Department said in a statement. Investigators arrested Lohan on suspicion of domestic violence after an incident on Monday night, but they let him out of jail after he posted bail.
Just after 1 a.m. Thursday, Lohan’s girlfriend called police to say Lohan had violated the terms of his release by calling her, the police statement said. Lohan called his girlfriend again while she was talking with police, and she put him on speakerphone – it said.
After prosecutors authorized Lohan’s re-arrest, officers went to a hotel, the Tahitian Inn, where he was staying.
“Upon seeing officers, he jumped out of a third-story balcony in an attempt to escape arrest” – the police statement said.
Officers took him into custody after a short chase and discovered after taking him to jail that he may have broken his foot, police said. Doctors were evaluating him.
Lohan is not expected to be released from Tampa General Hospital Thursday and has been admitted for overnight observation, said Tampa police spokeswoman Andrea Davis.
Police responded to a domestic violence call at Michael Lohan’s home Monday and arrested him for the battery of his live-in girlfriend – police said.
Lohan told reporters Wednesday he “didn’t lay a hand” on his girlfriend.
“I did not hurt her” – he said.
Lohan also said he never was served with a restraining order to stay away from the woman. According to CNN Tampa affiliate WFTS, a Sarasota County judge issued a temporary restraining order Tuesday.

Michael Lohan’s girlfriend Kate Major is to be evicted from her Florida home.
Michael (the father of actress Lindsay Lohan) has been arrested twice this week for allegedly assaulting Kate and then violating her restraining order against him and now residents of her upmarket apartment complex have grown tired of the constant media attention their relationship has brought.
Others living in the exclusive housing complex in Tampa have complained so Kate’s landlord has served her with an eviction notice, giving her until November 1 to leave.
According to gossip site TMZ, Kate plans to fight the eviction but sources don’t believe she stands much of a chance of winning her appeal.
Michael was taken into police custody yesterday (27.10.2011), less than 12 hours after being released from jail.
The 51-year-old TV personality allegedly contacted Kate, who has a temporary restraining order against him after he purportedly assaulted her in the early hours of Tuesday morning (25.10.2011).
Michael is believed to have got in contact with the journalist by phone and she notified police early yesterday morning (27.10.11).
After interviewing her at the same apartment Michael is alleged to have assaulted her earlier this week, police arrived at the showbiz patriarch’s hotel – but he tried to avoid the officials by jumping from a third-storey balcony, and fell into a tree.
When the officers eventually got him down he was arrested for violating a condition of his pre-trial release, which is thought to be because he contacted Kate, and resisting arrest without violence.

Lindsay Lohan’s father has been released from jail after serving more than twenty-four hours behind bars for a domestic dispute that turned violent.
Embattled father Michael Lohan was released from a Hillsborough County jail in Florida on Wednesday evening. Lohan was arrested after his girlfriend Kate Major alleged that he physically turned violent on her after a sexually charged meltdown went wrong. Speaking to reporters moments after he was released, Lohan denied the allegations that he attacked Major, stating: “I did not hurt Kate. I didn’t do anything to her” – according to the Daily News.
He added: “We had an argument about a girl who’s a really bad influence on Kate, and I took the phone out of Kate’s hand and threw it down. I said I’d had it and that I was leaving, and she panicked. She was worried she’d get stuck with all the bills, so she called the police.”
According to Lohan, their drama began early on Tuesday when they began arguing at a Tampa-area Chick-fil-A restaurant, which later escalated at Major’s apartment. Lohan denies her accusations that he threw a remote control at her, wanted to slit both of their wrists and throw her off a fourth-floor balcony.
Lohan was released from jail on a 5,000 dollars bond and ordered to stay away from Major, who also happens to have a restraining order on him.
This doesn’t end Lohan’s problems though, as he was also served by ex-wife Dina Lohan while he was behind bars with legal documents stating that he owed 11,000 dollars in back child support. While we’d like to see the Lohans get their act together, it doesn’t look like that is going to happen anytime soon.
