Wedding of Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris is off
Hugh Hefner‘s wedding to Crystal Harris is off, quite out of the blue. The wedding was supposed to be on Saturday but the 24 year-old ex playmate did a bunk after an apparent argument with her Playboy over the weekend. Hef tweeted a confirmation of the news writing: “The wedding is off. Crystal has had a change of heart.” But he’s also said that their supposed argument didn’t happen. Hefner tweeted an explanation that stated: “The TMZ report that Crystal & I “had a nasty argument,” prompting her to call off the wedding, is untrue. There were no arguments.”
This may be small consolation, but at least she walked out before the wedding and didn’t ditch him at the altar or something. The Hef agrees, tweeting: “The breakup is a heart breaker, but better now than after the marriage.” The good news is that he has heaps of support pouring in from everyone, especially from his ex-girlfriends, the Girls Next Door. Holly Madison re-tweeted Kendra Wilkinson‘s message and added her own bit with: “U r too sweet. Wish I was there to support, too! RT @KendraWilkinson :@hughhefner we r comin over w some jack n coke… oh n a pipe lol”. Also showing some love was Bridget Marquardt who also tweeted: “Just stopped by the mansion 2 give @hughhefner a hug. He seems to be handling this well. He even had a sense of humor about it! #LoveUHef”. He sure does, considering he tweeted: “Since we’re not getting married on Saturday, I’ve scheduled a movie: “Runaway Bride.” Seems appropriate.” If anyone can get over this, we believe it’s the Hef. He’s such a rockstar.
People said it would never last, but at least most of them thought it would start.
Alas, Hugh Hefner’s fiancee, Crystal Harris, has called off the wedding five days before she was to say ‘I do.’
TMZ.com sources say that Crystal and Hef had a nasty phone argument over the weekend and soon after Crystal moved out of the Playboy Mansion.
Life & Style chimed in with a reminder that it had broken the news months ago that Crystal had been dating Jordan McGraw on the sly.
Jordan was Crystal’s songwriting partner, and it was believed that in addition to making music, they also made sheet music.
Jordan is the son of Dr. Phil, who perhaps should counsel his boy on not taking advantage of the elderly.
“Crystal informed me of the news this morning and that the decision to call off the wedding was mutual” – Crystal’s manager, Michael Blakey, told Life & Style. “The split was amicable and I’m happy to say that Crystal and Hef will remain close friends.”
Sure they will.
Crystal Harris has strenuously denied claims she cheated on Hugh Hefner with Dr. Phil’s son, Jordan McGraw.
The 25-year-old made the admission after backing out of her planned wedding to the 85-year-old Playboy founder this weekend, at his famed mansion.
It all started when reports emerged after the cancelled nuptials that the young blonde was having a secret affair with songwriter McGraw.
The pair were reportedly spotted together at the Chateau Marmont back in March this year.
McGraw was apparently seen “kissing the blonde’s shoulder and trying to hold her hand” – according to Life & Style magazine.
But Crystal’s representatives say the claims are completely false.
“That is absolutely not true” – Harris’ manager Michael Blakely said. “It’s a complete fabrication”.
Blakely said that the relationship’s dissolution was an mutual decision.
“It was an amicable split up, and they will remain good friends” – he told the New York Daily News.
Harris also took to her website to explain her decision in a statement.
“After much deep reflection and thought, I have decided to end my engagement with Hef” – Harris wrote. “I have the utmost respect for Hef and wish him the best going forward.”
Rumours that Crystal was dating McGraw emerged quickly after it was revealed that she had had a change of heart about marrying Hefner.
‘The wedding is off and everything has been cancelled,’ a source told RadarOnline.
‘Hef is in shock. Crystal bailed and left the mansion at 11pm Sunday night,’ the insider added.
