Brooke Burke and David Charvet get married

Brooke Burke and David Charvet are married! The ‘Dancing With the Stars’ co-host and her former ‘Baywatch’ hunk made it official Friday.
Burke hinted at the news this morning on Twitter, posting: “morning tweeties. Waiting for LA to wake up….big news to share.” Her rep later confirmed the rumors, telling E! News: “Brooke and David did get married.”
The longtime couple, engaged since August 2006, tied the knot under the stars aboard a yacht in St. Bart’s, Life & Style reports. Wedding details and photos are sure to follow.
The happy pair have two children together, Rain (4) and Shaya (3) along with Burke’s two daughters, Neriah (11) and Sierra Sky (9) from her marriage to “Extreme Makeover” plastic surgeon Garth Fisher.
It was actually Rain who stirred up some marriage emotions in May 2010 when she told Burke: “I want you to be a Charvet too mommy.” Afterward, Brooke wrote on her blog: “I would like to have a ‘Husband.’ David has been calling me his WIFE for years, but I have always joked about being only his wanabee wife. I have never said Husband when referring to him and I rarely correct anyone when they give him that title.”
Wannabe wife no more – Brooke’s the real deal now.

‘Dancing with the Stars’ co-host Brooke Burke and former ‘Baywatch’ star David Charvet have gotten married! The couple have been engaged since August 2006 and decided that it was time to knot, their reps confirmed to People. They have been an item since 2005.
Both 39-year-olds are currently have two children together: daughter Heaven Rain (4) and son Shaya Braven (3). In addition, Brooke has two daughters from a previous relationship with Garth Fisher, whom she divorced in 2005.
This morning on Twitter, she tweeted to her followers before the news was revealed that she had “big news to share”. The couple got married Friday night at a yacht in St. Barts, according to Life & Style.
The former ‘Dancing with the Stars’ contestant posted in a blog entry why she decided to take their relationship to the next step. “We started talking about why to do it at this point in our relationship” – Burke blogged in May of last year. “‘Do you want forever?’ David asked. ‘Yes, I need forever,’ I said. It was just that simple. I would like to have a husband.”
After the announcement surfaced online, Charvet thanked his followers for all their support. “Want to thank everyone for their support” – Charvet said Saturday. “It has been a great day!”
As for the day after their wedding, Brooke tweeted Saturday evening that they are spending time with their kids. “Chilling in our room tonight, very mellow. I’m making dinner for the kids. It’s taken us 5 days to unwind” – she said. “OTT is on ice, friends are coming over for drinks. French apps, my fav!!!” – she added.

This is a move that has been established among a certain sector of the show business crowd. But now it seems more prevalent especially when both TV personalities wed their long-time companions took their relationships to the next level in the past couple of days.
Brooke Burke and David Charvet took part in their very personal nutials in St. Barts on Friday with their four kids attending (son Shaya, age 3, and daughter Rain, age 4. plus Burke’s two children from her previous marriage, daughters Sierra, age 9, and Neriah, age 11).
The ‘Dancing with the Stars’ co-host, who also competed on the show (and won), and the former Baywatch hunk have been hanging out together for years, but finally, after a five-year engagement, the handsome couple tied the knot.
Charvet used Twitter on Saturday to comment on his very recent Carribean wedding with Burke, saying: “Want to thank everybody for their support, It’s been a great day.”
Meanwhile, Joy Behar also went on the social media chat to put in a few words, obscure as they were. The chat show panelist simply said: “Gone fishing.”
Translation – Joy was signing off to get married to her longtime beau, Steve. The 68-year-old comedian has been hinting about making their 29 year relationship a more formal affair on the air both on ABC during The View and on HLN during The Joy Behar Show for a long time now, but the sly foxy lady didn’t say when or if this would really happen.
Then surprise! In a move that preceded the much talked about nuptials of View co-host Sherri Shepard – which happened three days later – Behar went ahead and tied the knot with her long time love, some would say upstaging her colleague.
No matter. Both women are happy although this move took Joy Behar a few years to actually carry off since, three years ago when the two were about to make this legal leap, Behar chickened out. In June of 2009, Joy said in a statement that she “got cold feet again, so I don’t know what I’m going to do…[Marriage is] off the table. What’ll happen is, when I decide to do it, I’ll do it, and then everybody will know I did it. I can’t make up my mind.”
Typical Joy.
