The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s world-famous nuptials were only the beginning. The excitement is far from over – as summer 2011 is shaping up to be full of star-studded weddings.

Jesse’s romance with Kat came at a turbulent time in his life. In March 2010, he found himself at the centre of a media storm when it emerged he had repeatedly been unfaithful to America’s sweetheart Sandra Bullock during their five year marriage. The following month, Sandra filed for divorce (finalised on June 28) and Jesse’s status as the poster boy for celebrity infidelity was cemented.
In August, he found love again with TV tattoo artist Kat Von D. After speculation in the press, she confirmed reports that they were indeed dating on Twitter (later deleted) and it wasn’t long before their romance started to play out in public.
It has been a whirlwind relationship – in September, they made their debut as a couple, during which Kat declared Jesse to be “The One”. Numerous public declarations of love followed signalling a growing commitment, and then, in January 2011, the tattooed pair announced their engagement.
In a statement, Jesse said – “You know sometimes the public and the press get it wrong. This is one of those times. 2010 was actually the best year of my life because I fell in love with my best friend. An amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs.”

Have Jesse James and Kat Von D called off their wedding? Not a chance, they both tell People.
“That is absolutely not true” – says James, 42, bristling at Internet reports that he’s split from the LA Ink star. “We’re still going strong. Things are completely good with us.”
Adds Von D – “That’s the furthest thing from the truth.”
In fact, the pair, who were engaged in January, are planning a summer wedding on the one-year anniversary of when they started dating, James reveals.
“That day can’t come soon enough!” he says.
The couple regularly commute between Los Angeles, where Von D (29) shoots her reality show, and James’s home outside of Austin, Texas, where he lives with his kids, Chandler (16), Jesse Jr. (14), and Sunny (7).
“Everything is on track” – says James. “I am absolutely more in love today than I was a year ago. She’s the one for me.”

The couple began dating in August, just two months after his divorce from Sandra Bullock was finalised.
Bullock and James married in 2005 but split abruptly five years later after news emerged that he had cheated on the Oscar winner with several women, most notably tattoo model Michelle ‘Bombshell’ McGee.
In an interview with Men’s Journal, James said he had no regrets about publicising his love for Von D so soon after splitting from Bullock.
“Back when I was listening everyday to some new person say what a f***up I was, I hit the wall.
“I had a day where I was literally wondering how much more of this I could take.
“And one person reached out. Guess who that was?
“Everyone else thought I was toxic. The fact that Kat is willing to be with me now? And get demonised in the tabloids for it? God, I really love her.”
While Von D was still wearing her engagement ring earlier this month, she and James have not been photographed together since May 15 while promoting his controversial memoir, ‘American Outlaw’.
