Sage Stallone (son of Sylvester Stallone) found dead at 36
Sylvester Stallone’s son (36-year-old Sage Stallone) has died.
Sage, who starred alongside Stallone in Rocky 5, was found dead in his Los Angeles home Friday afternoon.
“Sylvester Stallone is devastated and grief-stricken over the sudden loss of his son Sage Stallone” – Sylvester’s rep said in a statement to E! News. “His compassion and thoughts are with Sage’s mother, Sasha (Czack). Sage was a very talented and wonderful young man, his loss will be felt forever.”
Police, who responded to a welfare check at the home around 2:15 p.m., said there were no signs of forced entry at the home, nor any apparent foul play, and that there did not appear to be any criminal activity involved.
Details regarding the filmmaker’s death are still unclear, but Sage’s attorney George Braunstein told People his housekeeper first found him dead.
“We are in the initial stages of our investigation. We have no information to report at this time” – Chief Coroner Craig Harvey said.

Sage Moonblood Stallone (the son of the film star Sylvester Stallone) has been found dead in his Los Angeles home after a suspected overdose of pills.
The 36-year-old was an aspiring film-maker who also acted in two movies with his father in the 1990′s, including his debut as the son of boxer Rocky Balboa in “Rocky 5″.
The celebrity website tmz.com and the New York Post reported that he was believed to have died after an overdose of pills.
Citing unnamed sources, the newspaper said that pills were found at his home, but it was unclear if his death was a suicide or accidental.
The Los Angeles police department has referred the case to the city coroner’s office. Police sad there was no suspicion of criminal activity or foul play.
His father returned to Los Angeles from San Diego, where he had been attending the Comic Con convention to promote his new film “The Expendables 2″ with with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Dolph Lundgren.
George Braunstein, an attorney who has represented Sage Stallone for 15 years, said a housekeeper found his body Friday afternoon. Friends and acquaintances had become concerned because they hadn’t heard from Stallone in the past day – Braunstein said.
Sage Moonblood Stallone was the oldest of Sylvester Stallone’s children and co-starred with his father in two films. He was the first of two sons Stallone had with first wife Sasha Czack.
Sage Stallone made his acting debut in 1990′s “Rocky V” and also appeared with his father in 1996′s “Daylight.”
Also in 1996, Sage Stallone and veteran film editor Bob Murawski co-founded Grindhouse Releasing, a company dedicated to preserving and promoting the B-movies and exploitation films of the 1970′s and 80′s.
“He was very respectful of all the actors in all the movies” – Braunstein said. “You couldn’t mention a movie that he didn’t know everything about.”
Sage Stallone also directed the 2006 short “Vic,” which screened at the Palm Springs Film Festival.
Braunstein said Stallone was planning on getting married for the first time, and had frequent requests to work on films.
“He was a full of life filmmaker with his whole future ahead of him” – Braunstein said. “He was just very up and enthusiastic and positive.
“I think it was probably some sort of accident” – he said of the death.
Braunstein said Sage Stallone greatly admired his father but was working hard to make his own name in the film industry.
“He was very proud of his father and proud to be his father’s son” – Braustein said.
