America’s Got Talent winner – Michael Grim. The winner of America’s Got Talent has been announced, after a showdown between soul crooner Michael Grim and 10 year singing sensation Jackie Evancho.
Evancho received high praise all round for her mature singing talents, as well as her mature attitude towards life and performing, unlike some other performers twice her age. After losing, Evancho showed her respect and maturity, saying: “This experience has been amazing,” she said, without showing any sign of disappointment. “I have loved every single moment that I’ve been doing it, and I just really hope that I’ll be able to sing for you guys again.”
Grimm, the winner, was in disbelief and shock at the announcement, saying: “Is this really happening, is this real?”

Grimm went on to win the $1 million prize and a deal to perform in Las Vegas.
“It really has been such a great ride,” – said Ashland resident Barbara Nelson whose nephew, Wes Schoeb, is a member of the group. “Everything was so totally unexpected.”
Earlier in the evening, before the show’s start, the group posted this note to their fans on their Facebook page: “Anxious for the results! Regardless of what happens tonight this has been an amazing experience and [we] wouldn’t trade it for anything. … ”
During the two-hour show Fighting Gravity performed with legendary singer, songwriter and producer Lionel Richie as he sang “Dancing on the Ceiling.”
Show judge Sharon Osbourne told the group that “its just the beginning for you.”
Fighting Gravity got their start after a performance they did for an annual school-wide talent show last year went viral.
The group has been asked to play at Vegas’ Hard Rock Cafe on New Year’s Eve. They’ll also be part of the “America’s Got Talent” nationwide tour that starts Octobre 1 and makes a stop at Richmond’s Landmark Theatre on Octobre 28.
Michael Grimm stole the heart of the audience in the America’s got talent show by singing a classic song ‘When a man loves a woman’. After he finished singing the song, the reaction of the judges and the audience said it all. This song was written by Melissa Etheridge about her ex-wife Tammy.
Apart Sharon Osbourne, all the judges were in full praises of the Mississippi singer. Howie Mandel called it the best performance on the show and said that his prediction is that he will with ‘America’s Got Talent’. Piers Morgan, who is known for his analytical and mostly restrained complements, said that Michael Grimm would be a great winner and he would represent America well.
