NFL player Kenny McKinley found dead
Kenny McKinley, whom, if you’re a fan of NFL know as the Denver Broncos’ wide receiver, was found dead on Monday.
The police found the player’s body after they were alerted by a call.
The investigation is still ongoing but according to reports the incident appears to be a suicide considering the gun wound that appeared to be self inflicted.
However nothing has been made official yet until more evidence will be collected.
It’s hard to come up with reasons for McKinley’s tragedy, but the fact, that he was on reserve after a pretty severe knee injury might be one.
The nation is shocked tonight to learn that NFL player, Kenny McKinley was found dead in his home, and it may be a possible suicide. Kenny McKinley was a wide receiver for the Denver Broncos. Authorities say – he was found in his home at approximately 3:35 p.m. apparently the victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Kenny McKinley was 23-years-old.
The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office released a statement regarding the death. “Deputies discovered a male in the second-floor master bedroom of the home and determined that male was deceased. Although the death of Mister McKinley appears to be the result of a self inflicted gunshot, the investigation into this matter, conducted by the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office and the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office, is on-going.”
Denver’s President and CEO Pat Bowlen issued a statement on the team’s website: “Everyone with the Broncos is shocked and saddened by the loss of Kenny McKinley.” Bowlen then went on to say that Kenny was part of the Broncos family, and that he will be greatly missed.
The head coach Josh McDaniels called McKinley’s death tragic, and said that he had a promising future on the field: “This is a tragic loss for our football team and his family is in all our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
